Ever think of writing the book you know is in you? Intimidated and daunted at the prospect of the longer writing form, and themechanics it takes to go from writing one 500-word story to writing a 300-page manuscript? And if you’ve already completed that manuscript, what do you do with it now? How do you get it published? Do not fear. The process intimidates every author; even those that have already written and published several books need to find ways to stay positive and motivated. Writing daily takes dedication and perseverance. For bloggers and journalists, communicating your story may offer a steady paycheck or an expressive outlet for your most personal thoughts, but taking the leap into the longer book form, takes a different mindset entirely.
In this session, three publishing veterans offer tips and insights about the process:
· What it takes to hone in on the book idea you feel most passionate about.
· How to create and maintain your platform to acquire a loyal following that will read and share your work.
· How to be both realistic and savvy about the publishing journey ahead of you.
